Quantitative Techniques
Advanced Techniques for Precise Pharmaceutical Analysis
Medipharm Laboratories, Inc. is equipped with last generation instrumentation that enables us to offer and deliver reliable results with high accuracy and precision. Within those high-tech methods, we can mention the high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) which is one of the most powerful and useful chromatographic procedure that allows to separate complex mixtures, identify and quantify its chemical components. This liquid chromatography is highly efficient due to an enormous range of possible combinations of different and versatile columns, mobiles phases, gradient strategies and different nature of detectors that can be used.
Another very powerful chromatography technique that our lab offers is gas chromatography with flame ionization detection (GC/FID) which is as precise and powerful as the HPLC. It can be utilized to separate mixtures of volatiles and semi volatiles components which can be finally identify and quantified with high selectivity and accuracy. This Gas chromatographic method is based on the control of the temperatures of Oven, injector and detector using an ultra-pure gas (such as helium or hydrogen) as carrier.
In our laboratories we use these detection methods:
Photometric detectors:
- Single wavelength UV
- Variable wavelength UV
- Infrared
Miscellaneous detectors:
- Flame ionization
